do they? Those suckers can play some hellacious defense once they get up. However, if AC Milan scores first those Itlians know how to do it.

AC Milan 2-Liverpool 0

However, I do want Liverpool to win.

i'm really pulling for Liverpool big time today. the way they have competed in the CL this year, i can't doubt them. my not-so-safe prediction is a Liverpool win 2-1.

1-0 Liverpool...and that's the only scoreline they can win by in my opinion (other than a 0-0 penatly result).

I'm going to take a long lunch and head to my local bar to watch it.

How can you say "No way they win"? People said that when they played Juve and Chelsea and the Reds prevailed. I think they have more than a sporting chance. They made it this far didn't they. Remember, Milan needed some heroics of their own to make it into the Finals.

not that i know of. but the match itself is showcasing 19 nationalities:
http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=ap-championsleaguefinal&prov=ap&type=lgns

quote:
Players from 19 different countries will be represented Wednesday when AC Milan and Liverpool play in the Champions League final in Istanbul, Turkey.

Six-time champion Milan will have three Brazilians in the starting lineup and one on the bench, along with two Dutch stars, a Ukrainian, an Argentine striker with maybe a Dane, a Georgian and a Portuguese in reserve.

Liverpool can beat that easily. Rafa Benitez' team most likely will have nine different nationalities on the field when the game begins, with two more on the bench.

Liverpool has a Polish goalkeeper (Jerzy Dudek), defenders from Ireland (Steve Finnan), Finland (Sami Hyypia) and France (Djimi Traore), midfielders from Spain (Luis Garcia and Xabi Alonso), Germany (Dietmar Hamann) and Norway (John Arne Riise) and forwards from the Czech Republic (Milan Baros and Vladimir Smicer). On the bench, Benitez has Australian forward Harry Kewell and Croatian midfielder Igor Biscan.

Milan has four Italian starters, while Liverpool has two English.

I am recording it on the DVR as we speak. I am afraid though because I forgot to extend the recording. Hopefully someone scores and it doesn't go into overtime.

and they can't even compete for it next year, unless UEFA makes an exception for them, which i doubt they will.

That was an awesome game. I never expected a six goal game. Liverpool wins and mark my words, UEFA will grant them an exception for next year's CL.

WOW!

What is it?
It's an interrogative form of sentence, used to test knowledge. But that's not important right now."
