I'll be leaving in an hour and a half for Chicago. Quite frankly, this game has lost a lot of its luster with the mass English defections and now to hear EJ won't play (I was looking forward to that), but its still England and it will still be exciting.

Not having Eddie Johnson (EJ) won't be too big a hit for the USA. Americans still beat the English tourists 2-1.

not lookin good...at least the score isnt. I think we've at least tied them in effort and chances. We just cant finish it off.

2-1 to England. Still it's only a friendly, but you lot were playing a B side England team. You should have won.

All be it a team sport, it seems like Eddie Pope handed that one to England. Congrats to England on finishing their chances but wtf was Pope thinking on that foul, and then he wiffs a ball that leads to the second goal. Not to mention his fun header back to Keller that was quite dangerous as well. I understand Pope hasnt played this level in a while but the players who filled in for him played quite well. The mistakes he made are just frustrating to see from a veteran and I hope I see more of the younger guys in the upcoming games.

True but you could make the argument that our three best players over the last 6 months did not play (Beaseey, Reyna and Eddie). Disappointed with the result but if I had to pick one game to lose of the next three, it would have been that one. Great crowd (a lot more US fans than I thought although that probably didn't come through on TV) and the English supporters were fantastic for the most part.

I missed the match - too busy watching arena football and WNBA re-runs on ESPN Classic.
