This kid could be the crown jewel in Henry's first (massive) recruiting class...

will be interesting to see how much his time drops next season...his times aren't too bad considering his state meet (a meet he probably peaked for) was a month ago...I wonder if he was challenged at all in those races...

Looking at some of the results from the meets he has run in it doesn't appear that he was pushed at all. In most of his 400 races he won by more than a second. He will be running in the Nike Outdoor Nationals this weekend against a kid that has run 46.52 and another that ran a 46.7. It should be a good race. Looks like Coach Henry picked a good one with this kid!

I just read that Justin competed at the USATF Junior Championships in California this past weekend and won the 400 Meters. He will represent the U.S at the Jr. Pan Am Games next month in Canada. Things are looking up for A&M next season. It will be very interesting.

i have to say i am quite excited to have this kid come to A&M. i used to run the quarter mile and know how blazing a sub-47 second 400 is. this guy could prove to be as talented as Darrell Williamson (i raced against him in HS and he now goes to baylor, finished 2nd at the US CHampionships and raced in the Olympics)

not to be a naysayer, but i hope coach henry is getting more talent like this guy on the girls and guys squads so as to better compete for a Team National Title. otherwise we face the risk of having a single great athlete on a mediocre team. however i DO have the confidence that Coach Henry will have more athletes like Justin coming to A&M in the near future

We'll have two 46 second 400 guys (Bryan Kelly and Oliver) and two 47 seconds ones next season...I'm betting some of those guy will continue to drop times with 3 of the 4 being fish

Not to mention the 10.19 guy we just got and another 10.2 guy coming in Sept...don't forget we have the NCAA long jump champion coming back too...things are looking up in a big way

if thats the case with the quarter milers i am really excited about our mile relay team. i can't think of the last time we had that was truly competitive on the national level. baylor always has a good one. if my memory serves me right we have only had a really competitive sprint relay in recent years, heres hoping that changes real soon with these stud runners Coach Henry has coming in
