The gym I go to is located in a strip center that gets VERY crowded on weekends (i.e. lack of parking). I usually have a lot going on those days anyway and while I might go for a run, at this point (the gym is hopefully moving at the end of the year) for now, I just want to go up there on weekdays.

I've been out of the gym for a while but in the past, I did a 6 day split -- two days primarily for chest, shoulders, and legs each (with their corresponding logical muscle groups, like tris with chest; etc.).

Anyway, I've never done a 4 or 5 day split routine and was looking for some input and advice:

1. Recommend 4 or 5 day? 4 would actually be better for me, but 5 isn't a problem.

2. For the one you recommend, give an example of how the week would go.

3. Finally, anyone with advice for hip explosiveness (for golf), what exercises would you recommend?
