too bad cydne currie cant play for us this year cause of that damned ACL!! she is supposed to be amazing up front. she and pistorious could have dominated (and will next year i imagine).

I thought it was great how half of the twelth man team members didn't respond to the free stuff at half. Damn posers just go to the games, get stamped, and leave. Pathetic.

good game! can't believe how many goals in the first half were so close to going in!

too bad so many of the students were jerks though. had a few friends that had major problems with the fish.

I was one of the ones turned away :-( I'm in the Hullabaloo Band, so we couldn't leave the volleyball game early to get to the soccer game. They had already stopped people from going in...I think ten minutes after the game had started.

Sorry to hear some of the fish were being jerks. They'll learn soon enough, I hope.

whats this about the fish being jerks??? someone explain that to me, i didnt notice what yall were talking about. all i can remember that kinda erked me was when jay roberts was telling the crowd about the 12th man team and some fish camp homos decided that was the perfect chance to start their gay fish camp chant as loud as they could

and ya one of my friend's friends couldnt even use his sports pass, he had to buy a reserved seat to get in... "no more general admission available" is what they told him.

they better add some seats by setptember 9th or im gonna be royally PO'd. ill be there an hour and a half early anyway to get a nice seat this time though.

the girls scored all 3 goals on the OTHER side of the field!!! AH!

We need better sound equipment. Anybody sitting on the side opposite the press box never heard a word that guy said during halftime. Not a single word.


I think what we need is something after we score a goal. Rah Rah Rah Team just isn't that great. Maybe everybody should just shout GOOOOAL as long and loud as they can or something. It's anticlimactic, we could get something really awesome happening.

Great crowd last night and a dominating performance by the ladies.

The fish will learn. It's their first weekend here and they don't know any better.

poor SFA goalkeeper, she was really getting it...

She was really getting it, but earned her keep last night. She was the only reason the game was as close as it was. If girls had converted a third of their shots, score would have been 11-0.

haha yeh she was, i was in the bleachers and we let her have it, however, her much older sister decided to come stand over there during the second half, and when she fell on the ground i said something along the lines of "you like it on the ground" and her sister turned around and told me "to tell that to my mother", it was pretty funny, being the good guy that i am though i went and hugged her and apologized for sayin that... but yeah her sister was crazy, i mean she was f'n wearin a burnt orange fleece sweater (you know she did that just to try and piss us off) but yeh, it was an awesome game and i cant wait til the next one....

yeah i was in the bleachers behind her too. that keeper was pretty good.

i have heard the seating will be axpanded by December for the NCAA's... How soon will there be some additional bleachers or seats added? I can't believe this would not be a priority if we are turning people away...

Well you've got to know there won't be that kind of problem with seeting until we play big 12 competition. It's the same way every year. The majority of those freshman only came for their fish camp reunions. I bet next game has at least 1000 less attendees. Since we play t.u. in Austin there prolly won't be another game with over 5500 potential spectators again this year, well at least not until the NCAA tourny.

My response is long winded because it includes a general ticket question and commentary for TexAgof08 so feel free to skip it.

First my question. The kids who attended soccer camps this summer received free passes to ANY home game this year. I will be taking my daughter and her friend. Based on comments in this thread, it seems that we should probably arrive at least 1.5 to 2 hour early. Do y'all agree?

Now my commentary for TexAgof08. As an Aggie and fan of many sports, personal comments, particularly ones with implications like yours, have no place in the stands. Not only are there likely to be friends and family members of opposing players in the stands who will take offense to such comments, it reflects poorly on all Ags in general. So, take this as a request from an old man to check yourself before yelling something at opposing players.

an hour early would prolly get you a decent seat... however ill be there an hour and a half early cause i care about getting a great seat. if i STILL dont get one after that, ill just get there even earlier.

You would probably have no problem getting a good seat a half hour before game time. I've gotten plenty of good seats after spending a half hour in the bathroom painting my body, when we only got there an hour before the game. Now that the fish are done with there camp reunions, there will be plenty of seats until inside twenty minutes of game time.
