Yes.

ussoccer.com has a live match tracker. It's really cool feature.

No score after about 20 minutes. It's pouring rain in Guat, field slippery.

Finished 0-0

Guatemala had a real good chance for a score in the closing minutes. They had an open shot from about 10 feet and hit the pole. They got the rebound and just overshot the crossbar.

It ended up scoreless tie. ESPN might show replay later tonight, they usually do. You can also look at archived game on ussoccer.com

Semi-quick synopsis. Sloppy, disjointed game. Rained the whole time which didn't help the play for either team. US had 9 MLS newcomers in lineup.

Convey and Henneman were only Euros. BC played good game, nice crosses. Hit the crossbar on 25yd freekick. Marcus H was great. He made several excellent saves. Eddie Johnson and Donovan were 2nd half subs and played well.

Noticeable drop-off in talent with new guys, but gotta find out if they can play. Biggest problem was chemistry. It was obvious they hadn't played much together. Somebody would make a nice run but misread his teammate on pass. Seemed like every time we got something going, somebody would zig when they should have zagged. They never really caught upto speed of intl game.

Twellman and Cunningham were so-so. Each had a few decent plays but nothing to hang your hat on. Both had chance or two close but didn't connect.

Dempsey was active. He played pretty well. Needs to get stronger. Dempsey gets knocked down or off the ball too easily. Mastro and Convey were good, Santino was rarely involved.

Balboa seemed impressed with Conrad and Marshall. They played solid. Seemed to have best chemistry in backline. Albright was a disaster waiting to happen. He played poorly.

Good news is that we've got a few more games to see if these guys improve. Should be getting used to speed of game. I'd like to see a definate starter mixed in with the new guys. It would give better idea of their level of play.

Random note. There was a dude in stands wearing a rubber gorilla mask. It was raining, probably about 95 degrees. How ripe do you think it was inside that mask??

For real. I lost all respect for Marcelo when he questioned the refs decision to red card the last T&T defender for bringing Convey down from behind in their WCQ. He was a freakin' defender and he didn't know why?

As far as the game went, we had our chances to win but completely flubbed them. Twellman wasted at least 2-3 chances and it looks to me that he'll never get used to the speed of the international game. EJ didn't have a Guatemalan player within 10 yards of him when he missed a wide open net with an errant header from inside the six yard box and Dempsey has done nothing to impress me in any of his national team appearances. All in all, a pretty uneven and weak performance, but given that none of these players had much experience at this level and that they hadn't played together much, it was to be expected.

I'm with you Dre on the T&T thing. Balboa's an idiot.
