Crappy goalkeeper for the US. Poor finishing and a couple of real nice free kicks that unfortunately just missed, including one off the crossbar. Gotta put shots on target if you want to even have a chance of scoring.

I wanted to see a U.S.-Mexico semifinal. That is a shame...

I didn't think that was crappy goalkeeping. Sure it was a weak shot, but the ball was moving to the keeper's left and so was he. There wasn't much he could do with a shot from about 6 yards away.

If anything it was crappy defending.

That was some good play by Mexico. ALtough Holland looked lost and un-organized. Very unlike Dutch soccer.

Hope Mexico can pull off the victory vs a very good Brasil team.

Basically...mexico finished their chances, we did not. We also dominated the dutch.

I didn't see any of the Mexico-Netherlands match but I saw the first half of the Brazil-Turkey match. Brazil was toying with them. It was over by half time if not earlier. Good luck to Mexico...they're going to need it.

Yes, because the entire argument has been revolving around the youth squads and not the full national team...

According to Netbreaker...Mexico has some mind problems when playing the US anywhere but Azteca...so, if we would have faced off, the US team would have won, but not because we are the better team.

If you don't think the main reason as to why Mexico plays so poorly vs the US is all mental, then you know shiat about soccer.

Not taking anything away from what US soccer has accomplished at all. It is obvious that the team is a top 15 to a top 10 team in the world............I agree that the problems that Mexico has playing the USA is mostly mental.......not to say that if they didn't have that problem, Mexico would be the USA every single time. That is not what we are saying, at least not me. I honestly believe that the series will be won by the home team. Away from home, you guys have the win vs Mexico at the World Cup (very big win by the way).

It is good to know that the future of MExico soccer is very bright as you were able to see when Mexico beat Brasil 3-0 to win the World Cup sub 17. Very impressive to have score 7 goals vs The Netherlands and vs Brasil when it most counted.
Now as far as the bug national team, I feel very good about our chances to make it to the very least to the quarter finals and possibley to the semi finals.

USA has a great coach with very good talent.....and they will go far too in the next world cup in Germany.
