under-17 beating Brasil 3-0 in soccer.

Mexico's future in world soccer looks mighty good.

Ok, carry on.

Mexico's only defeat of the United States at a neutral site was a 5-0 Mexican victory on July 13, 1947 in Havana, Cuba.

The other three neutral-site matchups:

May 24, 1934 - Rome, Italy - USA 4:2 Mexico
July 17, 1995 - Paysandu, Uruguay (Copa America) - USA 0:0(4:1) Mexico
June 17, 2002 - Jeonju, Korea (World Cup) - USA 2:0 Mexico

Maybe you should tell that to the Mexican press. After the 2-1 win over the U.S. in Mexico City, "El gigante no es muerto" was seen all over Mexican media outlets and numerous people were lauding it as proof that "things were back as they should be". The archives are down but I'd be willing to bet that I could find a few posts from some Mexican supporters around here after the March match that said basically the same thing.

In other words, Mexican media and supporters made a huge deal when the US lost to Mexico in March so don't come crying now with "But your supposed to win your home games"...you can't have it both ways.

Dre,

I have admitted that the U.S. has a hold on Mexico in the head to head matches...none of these matches in the last few years...With that being said, within the same period Mexico has not been dead last on the World Cup (US in 98) and has little (more closely to none) international achievements other than getting to the quarterfinals in '02...if you guys want to balance that game and a bunch of friendlies against two second round world cups, two semifinal and 2 third places on the Copa America, two Gold Cups, a confederations cup, a sub 17 world championship, go ahead...

BTW did you try to say "El gigante no HA muerto" ?

Whoa, buddy...my previous post was only a retort to your "Aren't you supposed to win your home games" mantra. It wasn't meant to suggest that the US has performed better in international competitions and how you could come to that conclusion is beyond me. I was simply pointing out your double standard when you said...

Big deal if you win your home game...

Although I will say that I think its funny how you neglect to include the two Gold Cups the US has won since '98 (along with a 2nd and a 3rd place finish...better results than the Mexico team). Don't get me wrong, overall I'd say the Mexico teams accomplishments are better since '98, even if that is a convenient and slightly arbitrary date, but you make it sound a bit more dire than it is.

...and yes my Spanish isn't very good, but considering I haven't taken a class in nearly 10 years, it's to be expected.
