Texas has one game left (at Kansas) and can finish with a maximum of 21 pts.
Colorado plays at Baylor & at Texas Tech and can finish with a maximum of 22 pts.
A&M has BU & TT at home, can have 22 pts.
Nebraska only has TT left and that's 16 pts.

Basically, if we defeat Baylor & Tech, we are guaranteed at least a tie in first place.

And would we own the tie breaker because we beat them tonight? Thus making us the sole owners of the title? Not sure if it works that way in soccer...

Isn't there a bonus point if there is a shut out?

No and no. We would be Big 12 Regular Season Co-Champions with Colorado. However, we would have the top seed for the tourney. No bonus point for shutouts (I'm not sure how many Colorado has, anyway). It's just a basic point system where a win is 3 pts, a tie is 1 pt and a loss is 0 pts.

Colorado is 5-3 in the Big 12, not 5-2-1

Actually A&M will win the Big 12 outright if they defeat Tech and Baylor. The correct standings from the Big 12 website are:

Texas has played one more game than the Aggies, so the most points they can get are 21. If CU wins their last two games, they will finish out with 21 points. If the Aggies win their last two games, they will win the Big 12 with 22 points. Overall I think the team played very well last night against a really fast and really skilled Colorado squad. WHOOP!

Forgot about Nebraska. They still have three games to go. With wins over OSU, ISU and TT Nebraska could share the Big 12 title with A&M. But A&M would get the No. 1 seed at the tourney because of our win over Nebraska in regular season.

Not so fast my friends. If Nebraska wins out we will tie with them for the championship, if we win out. But we would get the top sead in the tourney since we beat them.

Well that's what I get for trusting the Big12 webpage. It only lists Nebraska with one more game. I was wondering how that was possible, I just figured that they had a rain out or something.

We win any tiebreaker with Nebraska due to our 4-0 win in the head to head.

but that wont affect the conference crown... only the tourny seeding. the point system dictates that any and all teams with the highest points share the conference crown.

we should be THANKFUL for this because if not, last year KU would have been the sole winner of the big12 crown and not co-champs with us!

can someone please update after today? The Ags won, so it's almost a done deal for the maroon-n-white.

t.u. loses so they are stuck at 18pts, ags have 19 after today and have one more game to go to get 22 which will guaruntee us a share of the title.

colorado is officially out of the running now since they tied today and only get 1 pt for a tie. and nebraska is still the team we will probably tie with if i understand it correctly.

I believe the Huskers have not played Tech yet, so it may be a co-championship with them.

huskers still get ISU on the road (id give em 85% chance to win) and tech at home (140% chance to win)... as long as we dont choke to bu (who sucks) at home, itll be a shared title, again

i think the NU-ISU game might be more interesting than you'd think...

it all depends on which teams show up... ISU beat us and OSU soundly (4-1), a team who the aggies struggled to find the back of the net against

we beat baylor, and they pull out the draw or win, we will be champs alone...
