Volleyball at 6:30 vs. #1 Nebraska Wednesday night. The girls are really going to need everyone's support at this game. I hope to see all of you there!

I sure wish the Big12 would move to travel partners and weekend matches like the Pac10. It's so nice to be able to plan the occasional weekend getaway on the west coast and get to see teams like Stanford, USC, Arizona, UCLA, all play each other.

It's no picnic making travel arrangements in/out of Bryan/CS on a Wednesday... pretty much requires two days of vacation time no matter how you slice it and the match only lasts 2 hours of that time. I'd love to come down two or three times a year if I could, say, sneak into town late Friday afternoon, watch us BTHO Texas that night, just relax and hang out on Saturday, then go BACK to Rollie on sunday afternoon to watch us take our best shot at Nebraska, then head back to Austin/Houston and catch a flight to be home by 11pm.

I'll be there, but I'm sorry, I'm leaving my 80s clothes at home....

Oh! Totally forgot about the 80s theme tonight. Why are they doing that, anyway? Anyone know?

No clue...do they ever have "themes"??

I don't think so. I've been to many volleyball games and I don't recall any of them having a theme along these lines. Oh well, though. I guess we'll see how it is tonight.

They used to do that till the 1999 season, but the coaches asked for the single mid-week and single weekend match because they said it was too hard on the players to get ready for a second match.

More likely they, the coaches, just wanted more time to prepare for each match.

I wish they would try to match up different sports over the same weekend. My wife and I travel to alot of away football games, and once there was also an A&M volleyball game at Nebraska the same weekend as football played there. That was sweet, but they never seem to do that.

We didn't look that bad, just played a much superior team. Nebraska has only lost 7 games all season, unbelievable.

Nebraska's volleyball team is like USC's football team, maybe even better. It would have been a miracle to not get swept. Chill out.

both received concussions today at practice so u had meghan starting for the first time at setter, pretty amazing job considering they didn't get the crap beat out of them, i mean losing 2 starters against a no. 1 team doesn't help

we must have really been practicing hard for two of them to get concussions. I knew there had to be some good reason for them to be on the bench.

no offense, but this is aggie volleyball. i don't care who you lost or who you are playing. if you lose 0-3 at G Rollie, that's getting the crap beat out of you.

well...considering how our team has been doing this year, that game really wasn't all that bad. Nebraska has some ridiculous winning streak going on with games (something like 72 straight). Except for the very first game, we did pretty well. You're right, we shouldn't be going 0-3 at G. Rollie, but some things just can't be helped. (Plus, it really doesn't sound like Jolly Rollie anymore...having weeknight games just doesn't help.)

I agree that it's a sad day when the Ags get swept at G. Rollie, but have you watched this Nebraska team at all this year? They are scary good.

When Nebraska has won 8 consecutive 3-0 sweeps, getting beat 3-0 is not bad. Not the mention, the players seemed to be playing better yesterday than in matches past, like Baylor at G. Rollie...

rcb Nebraska has gone 5 games once this year against then no. 5 Minnesota, in Minn. They could have won all three games by much worse, we got some lucky shots in and they just kinda played around for most of the match. We'ld get close and they'ld decided to play for real and pull away then tease us again. Other then the ref missing two aggie points on the same play (would have had no effect on the outcome, just a general thing) there was nothing we could have done to stop the machine that is nebraska volleyball.
