Don't worry about it! I went to the USA vs Mexico match in Reliant (2003) and had a great time even though I was mostly around Mexico fans. Helped me learn more about their "new" players as Mexico changed a lot after the WC game. I really had a great time..thought Reliant was a wonderful soccer stadium. The atmosphere was incredible. I had great seats close to the field and got to say hi to Freddy Adu as he was on the sidelines watching the game.

I am ready for another USMNT game at Reliant.

I went the USA/Mexico game at the Cotton Bowl, which we won in the last 2 minutes, but I was surprised at the amount of Hispanics that showed up in Red White and Blue, and with the number that turned on Mexico and started cheering for the US at the end. We were still in the minority, but it was great to see Hejduk play to the crowd after Pope's goal.

Word around the campus is the U.S. will play Guatemala at the PHP.

stillmerk- I was at that game too. It was on my birthday and I couldn't have asked for a better present. The U.S. was quite dominant that night.

FC Dallas sent out a letter to season ticket holders and it mentioned game and it stated the opponent was most likely Guatemala.

Im making the trip to San Francisco on Feb 10, if I get tickets. I also sent in my app for WC tix today.

I did go to the US Mex match in Houston. It's funny when you hear cheers for the americans in spanish.

I actually work for FCD and can help anyone out who might need/want tickets when they go on sale. (It isn't official yet, but reading tea leaves around the office, it looks like a good bet.)

The best way to make sure you get tickets if you're in the DFW MetroPlex or willing to drive to Dallas for FCD games is to have season tickets - you get in on the pre-sale ahead of anyone else (even ussoccer, I believe). If you don't already have season tickets, I can sign you up at the same time and get you in the pre-sale.

For those who have a problem with the opponent being Guatemala, a few notes. One - in ten years at the Cotton Bowl, there were few if any significant problems for either Dallas Burn games or the US game. Event staff does a good job of making sure there aren't any problems - including the Chivas matches that have been held.

Two - FC Dallas has an interest in it being Guatemala as they have a certain player on their team who might appreciate the game. If you're not familiar with either Guatemala or FCD, Carlos Ruiz is arguably the best forward in CONCACAF and in MLS.
