i just saw that the Ags were picked to win the Big 12 in the preseason coaches poll. that is quite a testament to where this program is. i, along with many others, was converted to a softball fan last season with. the speed of the game is unbelievable and very exciting to watch. looking at our roster it looks like we have a great year ahead of us. two all-americans - both sophomores - as well as six all-big 12 players. i am excited to get this season under way. along with soccer, softball has got to be our best sport on campus. i will surely make all the games i can this year.

Jo has a great team this year, better than last I am sure. The ladies can hit, score, run, catch, basically anything you want. I saw them play a bunch during the fall and they are better than last year.

I think pitching is most important in softball, and we should be really solid with Amanda. Do we have anybody else that will be as dominating as her?

Megan was a pretty good pitcher last year too. If i rmember correctly she had 1 or 2 games that were sub par but for the most part she was pretty good. I dont know about any of our new girls so maybe one of them is a stud pitcher too? I find it interesting that the Big 12 coaches picked us over tu (barely) but tu is ranked 2 spots ahead of us nationally.

meagan will be our back up, with lisa as number 3, im not sure about our freshmen pitchers....HOWEVER, Jolly Riddley (SS) and Ronda (LF) will be starting as freshmen and WOW...these girls can hit...i think this team is stronger than ever, and if we can avoid costly injuries that cost us big last year the NCAA tourney better WATCH OUT.......

I can't wait. Let's get to the WCWS this year Ags!
