This weekend may be the last chance for fans to come out and watch Aggie Lacrosse this season. The Ags are on the road for almost every game during the regular season and with the possible exception of the playoffs, this will be your only chance to the team at home.
The Aggies opened the season last weekend with a blowout win against Rice 19-4. Due to weather conditions, the second game of the weekend against Baylor had to be cancelled.
This weekend will see the Aggies take on 2 more regional rivals in Southern Methodist and Louisiana State.
SMU dropped their first game of the season last week to defending conference champion Texas Tech 10-8 in a closely contested match in Dallas. The Mustangs are a rising star in the Lone Star Alliance North Division and will be the first major test for a young but talented A&M squad.
Louisinana State will open conference play this weekend in College Station. The Bayou Bengals struggled to find wins last season but a new influx of talent has the Tigers looking optimistic for the future.
Both games will be played at the Lacrosse Fields across from the Aggie Tennis Center. Come on out and support the Ags as they get started in conference play. Thanks and Gig 'Em!
