Has anyone gone out to watch any of the Spring training scrimmages?

Strange reaction, I didn't expect. I thought the Texas A&M had a big womens soccer fan base. If you go to most of the top ten schools web sites or soccer sites you only see responses about A&M from maybe three solid fans. If you go to BigSoccer.com, North Carolina has a heavy string running all year round. The lack of interest is a surprise to me....well and the fact that women's soccer here is only listed as "other sports".

Well I quit following closely because the majority of the A&M posts discuss the good looks of the players rather than their skills or substantive news about the team. The UNC posts, for example, talk about the formations used by the coaches, skill level of the players, anticipated line-ups, etc. TexAgs had some good discussions going up until last year.

The only soccer people on this board right now (oreo, me, Pat, Dre, CadeLBB, dub, randy, Sooner, Pennypacker, sixiron, BBRex [only if you mention Chelsea]) seem to be interested primarily in the USMNT and/or World Cup 2006. I don't know where the A&M soccer fans went. Offseason, maybe. I bet there will be some discussion soon.

Being in California, it's kind of hard for me to really follow Aggie soccer intelligently these days since I never get to see a game.

If I had to guess, no one knows when the practice scrimmages are unless they are affiliated with the program. I know I plan on going to the exhibition games they have scheduled coming up though.

oops. I knew I was going to do that.

I'm a lil busy with off-season running/training , along with work, to make enough time for the girls team. Fox Soccer channel, mavericks, and aggie bball take up the rest.

Now that I am in California, I am going to regret missing the women's game. I took a Brasilian friend of mine to one of the game's last year and she was amazed at how many people were there (I think it was the record setter against Stephen F at the time) and she really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Hopefully, when next season begins I will be on temporary assignment in Rio so I will really be out of the loop and have to get ALL of my info through the net. Keep up the great posts.

And sorry..but besides being an excellent team that is fun to watch for their skills and the crowd involvment...many on our team are very attractive.

Brazilian women are hot. That is all.

Cade...have you ever seen the women on the Brasilian national team? Not that hot...although as a general statement, you are correct, meu amigo!
