Definitely. I'm pretty sure Bruce won't try to play him at defender again. He had a good game at mid against Norway, an absolutely terrible game at defender against Japan, and a great game back at mid today.

unfortunately the only way he could have made the team for the WC would have been if he could play defense...we are just to stacked at midfielder...it feels really good to say that by the way

Well, I was at the game with a pretty good view, and I think klein,wolff, and olsen made some pretty good cases for the squad. Olsen is a vet, good 2 way player who always hussles, and is pretty creative on the ball, good person to sub in. Wolff is honestly are most technically creative and sound foward we have, he just doesnt have the same speed and physical prowess johnson has(or the finishin instinct it appears). Klein is a good person to be able to turn to if we have some bad injuries.

And despite what some reports might say, I thought it was an awesome crowd(14k) and we were pretty into it...especially considering the horrible weather.

Classic moment was after the first goal, this guy's friends are holding him in the air (behind the same goal) and he has a Miller Lite in hand, a crooked intoxicated grin, and shouts "USA!!!".

I love that the players applaud the crowd. Hejduk ran all the way to the Sam's Army section and cheers with them.

Nice. I wish I could have been there, but it was still thrilling watching on the tube.

I also didnt realize that the field was sunk so low, pretty much anywhere in the stadium gives you a good view. That place could get absolutely packed for a big game.

Do you guys really think Klein did enough to earn himself a spot? He had one good game, against Guatamala(Not a WC caliber team). He looked pretty horrible the other two times I saw him.

Klein did enough to earn some more playing time. As good as today was, that's how bad his last game was. Arena has plenty of time to decide. I don't see him going to Germany though.

Reading comprehension bro. I said he made a case for a spot, ie he played a great game and deserves more chances because of it.

I agree that Klein has earned another look, but, realistically, he's only played one good half of soccer in three games. He'll have to put on a show, a la Dempsey vs Norway, to get serious consideration.

Well, after all my trips to frisco i finally got to see eddie johnson score for the home team there. Too bad it'll probably be the last time. Great job by the crowd yesterday. Not many fans for the other team at all.
