Barcelona has 2 of the top 3 players in the world as well as an 18 year old kid that Maradona said would be better than him. Do not fool yourself into believing Barcelona is not a better team than Chelsea.

But yes, those London bastages are going to win the EPL this year.

Arsenal isn't my team but I'd like to see them beat Real...holding on as it stands now.

Liverpool are all but done. Need 3 goals in the last half hour to advance. Don't see it happening twice in less than a year.

Seriously, I don't look down my nose at Barcelona at all. This wouldn't have been one of the highlights of the CL if the teams weren't two of the best in the world. Jose is Jose, and he says things that are intended to help his team, not make reporters happy.

Not really. Arsenal is a young team. In a full season they do not have the make-up to be top shelf. However, in tournaments like the CL they have the talent to make some noise.

After watching what Liverpool did last year I wouldn't put it past anyone to win the CL.

I agree with ce1994, we don't suck. The loss of Viera and the ridiculous amount of injuries forced Arsenal to play a lot of young players. I liken it to the Ags this year.

I'm not saying A&M and Arsenal will both surely win championships next year (my head would explode), but they both SHOULD be much stronger teams with good shots at being contenders.

If they can find a replacement for Viera

They just drew him in the next round.

Watch out for LYON... I just watched them rip last year semifinalist PSV (Beasley's club) 4-0 and totally dominate them from the 1st minute... THe only team in QF that I honestly can really beat them is Barca

Juventus - hasnt been that impressive in UCL... barely got by Bremen ("saved" by Wiese's blunder)

AC Milan - Aging back line who's lacking in speed will have issues against speedy Lyon's frontline

Inter Milan - hasnt been that great either..salvage a 2-2 draw against Ajax who is inferior to PSV

...and Lyon ripped a PSV team that lost about 5 of their starters from last year's team including Park, Lee, and Van Bommel to transfers. In other words, the PSV team they beat was similar in name only to the team that made it to semis and gave AC Milan all it wanted.

Don't go crowning Lyon CL champs just yet.

of course not...i would love to see them getting over the 1/4 final hump and go all the way, and this year might be the year ....

oh yeah... PSV was in the same group as Milan this year, and Milan couldnt beat them....drew 0-0 and beaten by PSV 0-1 away

Well, the Portugese squad that won a few years ago did the same thing you are suggesting Lyon might do. Of course it is possible. If anyone thought Liverpool was going to do what they did last year is a heck more smarter than I am.

Funny as it is...Peter Crouch is AWFUL in the air! He is like 6'6" or 6'7" and he gets beat in the air constantly. I'm absolutely furious that the Reds are gonna hold onto Crouch after the season and give a new contract to an old Fowler and most-likely let Cisse and Morientes go elsewhere. We have problems finishing with the current forwards...but Holy Crap...why do you keep Crouch and get rid of Cisse? My guess (and based on Cisse's lack of PT) is that he and Rafa must not see eye-to-eye...but God I'll hate to see him go somewhere else and make a fool of Liverpool.

Crouch can play link up very well and his touches are great.... but of course his finishing is awful, his headers are weak and he's freakin slow....

while Cisse has the worst first touch in EPL and always seemed to be out of sorts with his teammates..but of course his finishing is not so bad and his speed kills..he's the type that would play awful the whole game and suddenly scores
