My question is simple. How does the rules work with individuals?? If Ashley Knoll kicks butt and leads all individuals in the Regional tourney, but the rest of the team does not do well and we miss the cut to get into the finals. Does Ashley get to go to the finals or is it only for teams??? If not, how does a player get rated the NCAA champion or is there not such a thing??

The top 8 teams and the top 2 individuals not on one of those 8 teams advance to nationals. It's not much fun to go alone, but at least you get to play. My daughter went once alone and twice with the team. It's a lot more exciting with the team.
