Our girls had a great meet - only a couple of things went wrong, and not enough to have made up the Texas deficit anyways.

Our guys had a lot of things go wrong but still recovered enough in the finals to (almost?) get the job done. There were at least 3 or 4 different times when one thing goes the other way and we get enough points to get us up to 3rd. Our sprint relay, for example, just missed the exchange zone and got DQed later but finished 3rd, which would've been enough right there. Hopefully next year(and this year at regionals/nationals) the team will be able to put it together like they can.

I did not know about the exchanges and that is too bad. Not to be critical for I ran on the mile relay and the sprint relay teams in my past days long ago but a team has got to get the exchanges right. I recall they also missed in Penn. Practice, practice, practice those exchanges. Do not gamble because a DQ is the worst. Exchange is first then run like hell.

I am proud of the improvement that coach Henry has made and I am happy to see our track team competing for the first time in many decades.

Well, this is not the first time in "many decades." We did win Big 12s in 2000.
