Mom...you are correct, the top 10 teams make it to the Finals.

Note...

SMU was the leaser after the early starters finished. They are at +10. That will give you a reference to go by. Also, we are in the same group as Georgis Tech and OSU. We were the first group to tee off out of the late starters. So when you look at the scores some of the teams ahead of us have only played thru 2 holes in comparison to us completing 8.

By the way, we just dropped another 3 strokes during this post.

Yep, 5 players only 4 count.

Seems like Robert Gates has been stuck on #7 forever. Why would that be? (As you can tell I'm clueless about all this. Just a fan of all things Aggie, so thanks for the info and your updates.)

We are 5 strokes out of the cut, but most of the teams ahead of us have played less holes. I believe that some if not most of the teams will fall. Like I said earlier, SMU was the leaser after the early starters at +10. This is what I was shooting for to be ahead of. I believe that a +10 at the end of the day will make the cut. That will be ok for the first day!

Considering the not so impressive score...we are only 4 strokes out of the cut. We will be just fine!!!

It's a little too early to worry about the cut. There's a long, long, long way to go. Just play steady golf.

That's true whasty. You rarely win it the first day, but you can sure lose it! We're looking great right where we are. Finish strong and we'll be right in the hunt. My "other" alma mater did quite well today. UT-Arlington finished at +14 and were second to SMU until the "big guns" teed off. Still, that's very good for a school with their limited resources.

Tied for second at 1 over thru 15 - 18. 6 shots ahead of the cut for now. Okie State on top at 2 under. Big XII with 3 of the top 5 (OSU, Ags, Horns) and 4 of the top 8 (OU).

On a side note, Palmer is off to a good start at the Colonial. -3 through 13. Keep it up Ags!
