Spin-off from the Barca vs. Arsenal thread.

Ronaldinho flat out sucked for this particular game. Henry out played him the entire day. Dinho was punked time and time again by the Arsenal D. Which I thought was unusual because more often than not he can take and dish it physically. Arsenal was just too strong, not just for him but for the whole Barca team. Well, at least until the last 20 min when they seemed to run out of steam (no doubt due to having only 10 men practically the entire game, but that's a different thread altogether).

For the championship game:

Henry > Ronaldinho

I think that is more an indication that Arsenal was not going to let Ronaldinho beat them (hell that guy has a funny name).

I agree that was the plan, and a good one too (it worked, he didn't get to do anything).

Im not saying he played amazing but in all fairness the biggest play of the game was the red card...and it was perfect through ball by ronaldinho that busted eto wide open for that play...also Henry missed 3 chances he normally pounds home...

I think they both had less then spectacular games

Henry did get deep more than 'dinho did but did not take advantage while (as previously stated) the red card play was set up by 'dinho. The only goal for the gunners was on a set play taken by Henry so that has to give him the nod for who played better in this game.

On a side note, I really hate the divers that play in the game now. The set piece that resulted in Arsenals lone goal is a prime example. Eboue had a prettier dive than most Olympic divers that resulted in the set piece. Good for him for getting his club in that position but it takes all the sport out of what is "The Beautiful Game"

The only intentional fouls I ever made were on chronic divers; I knew they were going to go down and writhe in "pain" anyway, so I figured I should at least make it hurt for real.

Most defenders (and especially keepers like me/my elbows seem to get in the way of their head sometimes when I go out for crosses) don't mind roughing up a chronic diver. Like tool said, they're going down no matter what, make'em pay for it.

Henry will probably be playing for Barcelona next year.
