I say 8-2 OOC with losses to Penn State and NC because we just haven't gotten over the hump with either of those teams. I would like to be wrong, but I think it would be a good record with that slate. I would be pumped if they pulled 9-1.

As for conference, I predict 7-1 with the only loss coming in a stunning upset to OU in a shoot-out.*

*Those who know my screen presence understand why I make this prediction for a loss in conference.

Damn, G put together an absolutely insane non-conference schedule. I like it, especially since so many awesome teams are playing in CS.

Oreo - yes, which explains my position on that one game. I honestly don't see why we can't get through the conference unscathed.

I too am glad G has put together this schedule. I have no doubt we'll be in the NCAA tournament regardless of the record and having played such a tough series will have our girls acclimated to playing tournament-level teams. I will be a little disappointed if we don't make the final four, although I expect this team to really hit its stride in 07.

There are 4 big OOC battles to be concerned with, not just NC and Penn State. Most people would take UCLA as the number one team in the country to start the season and Santa Clara is probably a top 5 program also. The key will be how closely they stay in those games.

I agree - UCLA and Santa Clara should not be marked down as wins. I'll readily admit that I take a large dose of optimism before any season and I'm hoping we at least go 2-2 against UCLA, Santa Clare, NC, and Penn State. I decided to pick NC and Penn State because of our past difficulties with them and no other reason based in any type of logic or knowledge.

If we go 2-2 we could be on our way to a great season. Name two bigger wins that we've had in our past.
