The fight really isn't that exciting, but it is the first major fight in Dallas history. I read an article about the fight this morning and it said something about it being on FSNSW. I was trying to set tivo to record, but there is no listing of the fight on FSNSW.

Evander, you were a great fighter, it's time to hang up the gloves. I just hope he doesn't get hurt.

He looked like he did when he fought Riddick Bowe. His quick feet and quick jab were impressive tonight. All that being said, no way he gets the title again. I wouldn't bet against him beating someone in the top 10 though.

its hard to tell exactly how good holyfield really is after watching that fight. bates was a statue out there, and at a 4" height and reach discrepancy, he didn't really stand a chance. sure holyfield was moving around well, and had decent hand speed. but i just don't know how he would fare against a top 10 guy. like the announcers said, bates is a brawler, not a boxer. and any of the top 10 guys are going to have the mental side down and will be able to work on holyfield where bates could not. bates had a great opportunity in the 2nd round when he caught holyfield with that looping right. after he connected, he stayed back, when he should have rushed in and gone to work on him. instead, he let holyfield get his senses back and end up getting worked over himself.
