Says Carlos Tevez's agent. Since ManU was the only team in England that I know of to be linked with the player, I'd have to assume that's the English club his agent is referring to. If so, I think Owen can kiss his ManU dreams goodbye because I don't think ManU have the money to sign both.

I don't see how both can't be signed. ManUtd has always been fiscally responsible and I agree that they're probably gonna max out their spending estimates by signing either one. But, if Bayern agree to sell Hargreaves, I don't think it would be too much of a problem for them to afford him, especially looking at long-term marketabilty of Hargreaves in England.

Well, IF Bayern let Hargreaves go (and that's a big if), I've heard numbers tossed around in the 20 million pound range. Tevez has a price tag of 25 million I believe. I don't see ManU shelling out 45 million pounds for 2 players...they aren't Chelsea.

And if they do shell out that much money for both, I don't want to hear any whining from ManU fans about how Chelsea can just go out and buy whomever they want because 45 million for 2 players is very Chelseaesque.

I think they could shell out 45 million pounds if they wanted to. And unlike Chelsea, the money's not inherited, but is from being the one of the world's richest clubs for almost a decade.

The Glazers have said that if Sir Alex wants players, then the money would be available to him to get the players he wants. If Tevez does indeed move to ManU, then Sir Alex is going to have sick front line options anytime he wants; say if/when Rooney gets suspended again.

Also I dont think Tevez makes Hargreaves less possible, Bayern is just being really stubborn with a kid that has said he wants to come back to England. Getting him over to ManU would really strengthen an already hot squad.
