I am not any sort of hockey junkie, so maybe I don’t know what I am talking about…

That said, I went to the Stars/Devils game on Saturday, and I’ll be honest…the whole crowd seemed to be very aware of when Barnaby is on the ice. The “buzz” just seemed to jump a little, and everybody seemed to be waiting for something to happen. Now the crowd was into it anyways (home opener, good opponent, Stars playing well)…but it was still pretty cool to get that feeling that him being on the ice could really bring the crowd back into it in future situations where having the crowd could make a difference.

i'm a pens fan, and i loved me some barnaby when he was up there...he's a good dude.

Barnaby no doubt can bring life to a team. During the preseason the Stars were losing and Barnaby went out and scrapped to get everyone fired up. You need role players like that to be successful in the NHL.

BTW, great game last night. Lindros had an awesome game and Turco looks extremely poised in net. First 3-0 start for the Stars since the year after they won the Cup.

Nabokov played out of his mind tonight...5-1 to start the season and 5 of those on the road...I would say thats a terrific start with so many new players.....

That was an amazing finish. Talk about a complete collapse by Chicago. I only saw the last 6 or 7 minutes of that game and apparently that's all I needed to say. Torbush... just Torbush.
