Are you saying we didn't have some 6-1s against really good teams like Illinois when Cass was here? You are correct though - it's too early to say that.

A&M Tennis had its fair share of 1-6's agianst great teams w/Cass at the helm. Guess it just doesn't feel the same with him gone.

I'll agree with that.

Guys: It is way too early to tell anything about this years squad. This was a very difficult early season match-up. They were 5-6 range and we are 20-21. They are built to play indoors, and we seldom see the indoors, much less on a quality surface. I had hoped we would get in the match, but I had my doubts. They will be much different later in the season. Everyone knows I was close to Coach Cass, but I think we need to be fair to Coach Denton, and see how this goes over the long haul, before we make public pronouncements about the death of Aggie Tennis. I can tell you that our guys don't see it that way, and I think they will compete very well as the year progresses.
