Well, the posting of the results over t.u. a couple weeks ago had a bit more discussion than I would have expected... so, figured I would post again about another dominating performance by the team. Probably best to just post the match report email sent by the coach:
Also, as alluded to in the match report... contributions from Old Maroon (the Aggie Rugby alumni group) just recently had donated enough money to fund a permanent endowment fund for the team. Thought this was worth mentioning because there was some discussion of it in the t.u. match results thread.
Congrats to the 1st and 2nd XVs for two more dominating performances!

Dear Old Maroon,
fresh on the great news about the endowment account, the Aggies went out
and put a lot of points up against Sam Houston Saturday afternoon. The
first 25 minutes were a relatively tight affair with the Sam Houston
defense coming up fast and hard and putting pressure on the Aggies. The
team kept their composure stuck to the game plan and as things started
to open up put on 34 points by halftime. The Aggies then turned around
to play into a stiff wind and played more consistently with greater
fitness taking its toll on Sam Houston as another 46 points were added
for the final margin of 80-0.
The 2nd side went out in equally strong fashion and basically scored at
the same pace, recording a 79-0 victory. There continues to be serious
pressure from the 2nd side on the first side players for game time.
Earlier in the day the Aggie U19 Colts won their second match of their
season, showing continued improvement and coming away with a 34-10 victory.
The 1st and 2nds will be up in Lubbock this weekend playing Texas Tech
and the 3rds will likely be taking on the HARC 2nds in Houston.
Thanks again to all for your continued support, the boys were very
excited to get the news about the endowment account and it provided a
lot of impetus for the days results.
