I'm so sick from staying up to watch this now I have to take tomorrow off and go on an electronics shopping spree.

Actually, I thought the game was good. The Stars sustained a lot of pressure and forced their game for the most part. They came back from being down 2 goals late in the third to tie it.

Keep in mind that goal 1 for the Canucks was a lucky bounce off Sydor (from a centering pass to nowhere), goal 3 was scored while they had 6 guys on the ice, and goal 4 was bizarre coming off the end boards like that.

We looked great on the PK and 5-4 PP; but we struggled on the 5-3 chances. Either way, you have to know this series is going to be tight and go 7. If we steal game 2 in Vancouver on Friday, I like our chances at home.

Could be worse, you could be Pittsburg fans. Ottawa just blasted them.

Great win tonight, Turco was outstanding and this should bode well for the series since we could have easily won game 1 considering we outplayed them in every way.

Excellent game.

Dominated for 2 1/2 periods, Turco was spectacular, and we stole home ice.

Wow!!!! What a save by Marty Turco, thank you!!! He's the only reason they are in this game and this series. I've been critical of him in the past but he's playing his ass off. Now if the rest of the team would only step up and help him out with some goals.

No score heading to the 3rd. Turco has been flat out amazing again tonight but I don't know how long he can keep this up with no help at all. A fluke goal or tip and they could lose this and I sure don't like our chances in OT although the law of averages has to come through eventually right???

I've got a project due tomorrow, so I hope it doesn't go to OT again. But, I'll take OT over a 3rd period loss.

Tippett will be gone by the weekend and the sad thing is he probably doesn't deserve it. Turco has played well enough for them to be at least tied or perhaps even up in this series if the guys that are paid to put the puck in the net do just that. Jere Lehtinen, Mike Modano, Brendan Morrow, ect. have pretty much done nothing this entire series. Hell Mo' didn't even have a single shot on goal tonight. Unacceptable!!!!! And I'm a huge Modano fan but I can't imagine what's going through Turco's mind when he shuts them out period after period and then late in the game his defense breaks down in front of him or they turn the puck over and he gives up a goal yet his team mates can't score for him and pull their weight. I'm pissed, series is over, and I barely got to watch a week of playoff hockey.

Unfortunately, you are correct. You can't ask Marty to do any more than he's done in this series. One of our problems is that on the rare occasion where we score a playoff goal, our guys come to the bench gasping for air and looking for the oxygen bottle.

On the other hand, the Sedin twins are 29. We are being outplayed by younger, more stout players. We did not do enough in the last four to five years to re-tool the team with younger players, and now we're paying the price. Also, the young guys that Armstrong did bring in have just not panned out.

Stars need to do a major overhaul. It will be painful for a few years, but they have no other choice right now.

its unacceptable to have a 5-3 power play for 1:55 and not score....on the PP it looks like all we do is pass back and forth from the blue line setting up a one-timer....there is no movement, shifting, or skating....look at how the sedin's are constantly circling and moving creating traffic and confussion....

i think the problem is a little bit Tippett (losing first round 3 years in row)....plus our best players (Modano, Lehtinen, Zubov) are not what they used to be and our younger guys (Morrow, and the Fins) are not quite top notch studs....

I dont know why all of yall are so suprised that the stars are down 3-1. If they were playing anyone else in the first round they would be winning but the Canucks match up against them very well, and like i said before the series started, Canucks win in 5 games and it looks like thats whats going to happen.
