Unfortunately, you are correct. You can't ask Marty to do any more than he's done in this series. One of our problems is that on the rare occasion where we score a playoff goal, our guys come to the bench gasping for air and looking for the oxygen bottle.
On the other hand, the Sedin twins are 29. We are being outplayed by younger, more stout players. We did not do enough in the last four to five years to re-tool the team with younger players, and now we're paying the price. Also, the young guys that Armstrong did bring in have just not panned out.
Stars need to do a major overhaul. It will be painful for a few years, but they have no other choice right now.
