Heard wordle is now going to bring back all of the old previously used words into the pool of available words.

Grrrr. That helps a lot when you know some of the excluded ones habe happenned before or look them up.

But my biggest gripe is my starting word has not yet been used. I was counting on it happening.

BLIND

I previously used BLAND and it was eventually the word on July 13, 2022. the only time I got it in 1.

I then switched to BLIND and since it has been one letter off 3 times.

Now you are telling me it may not be BLIND before any of those others. Ugh.

I mean sure they've used a lot of 5 letter combos but there are still many unused words.

The reason I use BLIND is my three starting words if I don't get any on guess 1 or 2 are currently:

BLIND
STORE - i don't start with it because it has been both STORE and STARE
CHAMP - even though it has been this word it gets the A and remaining consonants i want

Those words cover most of the common letters and are very malleable. you can use any of these:

BLOND BLIND BLAND BLEND
STORE STARE
CHAMP CHIMP CHOMP or even CHUMP


The typical triple I hear CLOUD STARE PINKY does not have as many malleable combinations.

And also M and B have a lot more usage then U or Y and I can usually figure out when those are in the word without wasting a guess. I think I get the most consonants and 4 most common vowels in those three words.

I did the math on this a few months ago and google said there are 2315 words that can be used.

The first Wordle was in October of 2021 which means there could be a different word every day until close to 2028...I hope this is just a rumor.

Agreed. It was only because purple was last that I got that.

How the heck does SHIFT mean DRESS? Or relate to DRESS?

Ok I googled it... apparently there a thing called a SHIFT DRESS - a straight-cut garment that hangs loosely from the shoulders without defining the waist. So like a potato sack with no sleeves. Popular in the 20s and 60s apparently.

Still not great it certainly doesn't mean dress and I doubt many people think Shift when they see Dress.

Need to fix spoiler tags

I spent the better part of an hour trying to figure out the word. I knew CIGAR was the 1st wordle and was eliminating that as an option. I finally used it to try and get letter placement when it hit.
