When I see the moon during the day, does that mean there's no moon for people on the other side of the world?

Do they just see stars and no moon? And why aren't there any clear nights when I don't see the moon. Do they never see a daytime moon?

Since I've asked my doc the same question multiple times with no answer .. what did the doc say/do to convince the first person to get a colonoscopy? Cuz back then it wasn't even close to what it is now.

Firmly convinced that the best possible person on Earth that could have excelled in every hobby, sport, profession, etc out there, never actually had the chance to do so.

Some of these endeavors and the people at the top of them, have pathways so incredibly narrow that it simply isn't feasible for an average person to ever pursue it. Lack of opportunity, funding, time, awareness, or even simple geography. As in the best professional quarterback that could have ever lived probably became a dockworker or something instead because their school didn't have a football program or something.

Addendum to this: The band that I will love the most in the world and for all time, is extremely likely to have never made it out of the garage and I will never know existed. Makes me sad. How much incredible talent out there just died on the vine and didn't "make it"?

From our perspective on Earth, the moon rises and sets like the sun. But the moon rises and sets about 50 minutes later every day, going through a full cycle in 29 days which causes the phases of the moon. The whole Earth experiences the same phase of the moon (new moon in China same day as new moon in England). The side of the moon facing the sun is lit up, while the side facing away is dark.

When we have a full moon, the sun and moon are on opposite sides of the Earth. The moon rises as the sun is setting, and the moon sets as the sun rises. Because the Earth is between the sun and moon, we get to see the whole lit up face.

When we have a new moon, the sun and moon and aligned and rise and set at the same time, and the illuminated face of the moon is facing away from us so we don't see it at all.

When we have a crescent moon, the sun and moon are rising and setting pretty close together (hours apart still). They are far enough apart that we can see some of the moon in the day time. When we can see the crescent moon in the daytime, people on the opposite side of the Earth are having night time and they don't see the moon at that instant.

A waxing crescent moon rises after the sun comes up. It follows the sun across the daytime sky. Then the sun sets and we see the moon going down in the night sky following the sun. The people on the opposite side of the world will see the same pattern that day: the moon rises after the sun, follows it across the daytime sky, then the sun sets and they see the waxing crescent moon low in the western night sky as it sets.

A waning crescent moon does something similar, but it rises before the sun and sets before the sun. So you see it coming up in the east in the early morning hours of darkness before sunrise, and the sun chases it across the daytime sky and the moon sets before the sun.

An exception would be those activities that we all partake in frequently. The world's greatest farter certainly was not denied the opportunity to realize that talent.
