Some people on Barron Road put this guy up some time ago. They dress him up for holidays and other occasions.

Reminds me a bit of the dancing bears on Greenbriar in Houston.

Have you ever seen the big gorilla in La Grange? They dress him up too. Love going through there to see what they have him wearing.

I like this big skeleton. I mean no way that thing goes up in the attic right?

Someone should revitalize the old Lawrence Marshall dealership location with a giant animatronic gorilla, t-rex, truck-a-saurus, or whatever. Also it should breath fire.

I haven't been the La Grange in years. There is a big gorilla in a yard on Brothers Dr in College Station. They dress him up from time to time.

He was dressed as Uncle Sam for July 4th but I didn't get a pic.

He was also dressed up for St. Patrick's Day and Easter.

Did you see the meltdown on Nextdoor about this? A woman flipped out because it was dressed up (can't remember for what day), and she thought it was disrespectful since she was a widow. She got smacked down pretty hard.

I'm in a couple of pages. I have a 12 foot skeleton and a 12 ft animatronic witch.


If you really want to buy one of these, those groups are the best way. The supply is pretty limited and it looks like this is going to be the last year they offer the original skeleton. Best time to buy one is now because they tend to sell out by the end of August.

This has dumb dude written all over it:

Husband was walking through Home Depot, saw it, bought it, took it home.
Wife: What the heck is that?
Husband: I know! Isn't it awesome?
Wife: Where are you going to put that?
Husband: In the front yard for Halloween.
Wife: And after that?
Husband: I'll figure something out...

Of course, I would NEVER come home with something I'd bought and hadn't thought through 100%...
