Is this a pit bull? Our back neighbors have 2 of these ****ers. They are huge and aggressive. I had to reinforce that entire area as you can see. If I look over the fence, they go INSANE. They want to rip me and my dogs apart. Another neighbor said they once got out and chased her but she managed to get inside before they caught up to her.

The city has not done anything about them. There is a ban on pitbulls here but apparently they don't care. (If this is a pitbull)

The owners are real ****ty too. Sometimes they tie them up back there with no access to food or shelter. I've called on that too.

They could breed a pit bull type breed that looks basically the same but has a less severe bite strength and much less prey drive and is more docile, but you have a large fraction of the breeders who simply don't care to select for those things or purposefully select for maximum strength and damage potential and more prey drive and reinforce the potential for harm.


It's not that they bite. It's that they latch on and keep hitting and shaking and are very damaging when they do, and have the instinct to sustain the attack longer.
