All I know is the one by me used to have quite possibly the fastest drive thru known to man. About a year ago I ended up sitting there for nearly 45 min, totally blocked in otherwise I would have peaced out. Have not been back to any of them since.

Don't even really consider Whataburger anymore when going for fast food. The lines are insanely slow and the burgers haven't been good. The last few burgers we got came with dried out buns and didn't seem to taste like they used to.

It doesn't matter what the restaurant. Once the company gets large enough for the beancounters and the marketing folks to take control from operations, the ultimate failure is inevitable. The only question is how long it takes. The amazing thing is the same execs who run one company into the ground are grabbed up by another company to do the same thing just as soon as they are out on the street due to making bad decision after bad decision. These guys always land on their feet, going from one golden parachute to another.
And for the record, I've always hated Chick-fil-A's waffle fries. They are the reason I'll drive right past them and head for Wendy's if I'm hungry for a chicken sandwich. I did really like Chick-fil-A's cole slaw back in the day, but they in explicably took it off the menu.
