• Got Morty here (well, and his parents) from Ft Collins. Let the adventures begin!
• Had lunch at Mi Tierra yesterday, and I don't care what the haters say, the cabrito was good. I'll always love that place for the family memories.
• Making a turkey breast today 1/2 pit and light smoke, 1/2 gas grill to finish with no fuss

First day back at work since 12/20/24. Thinking I should have just waited until Monday to come back...

• Scanned 7 dogs yesterday
• 6 had chips!
• 2 of those chips were unregistered
• 4 of 7 is a really good day

Crazy weather here in Salt Lake City: 41 degrees with rain when it ought to be about 30 with a lot of snow in the ground. The high country and ski areas are getting plenty of snow (and avalanches).

Ski patrol is on strike in Park City so resort owners brought in ringers from Colorado. Just like the Starbucks baristas went on strike earlier. Skiing is not a national defense priority so it's a local labor squabble affecting folks who like sliding downhill on planks and the richey -rich.

• Negotiating a publishing license agreement
• Beagle #1's cremains were delivered today

Forecasting 5" to 8" of snow here Saturday night into Monday morning with some freezing rain (boo!) at the start of it. In a perfect world, it will be all fluffy powder, and I'll be able to go to the gas station and get my coffee each day. I am really looking forward to sledding. It's been three winters since we've had a big enough snowfall to do that.

Would be seriously surprised if there's school here on Monday... an extension to Winter Break.

It's been a good day. Almost tomorrow, here in the CZ. Cold, but not unbearable. The castle is amazing. Had too much to drink with my Aggie Buddies. Life is short, and it's ok to have another.

• Got some required training done, cleaned out my inbox, worked some tickets. Overall a light day.
• Costco after 5.
• Quoting another Alaskan cruise tonight - something is in the water.
• Try to learn a new database/crm for my business - I've been putting it off and need to get it done.
• Try to get more organized.

I used to make my own and found myself drinking a 12 cup pot by myself every day. Because of this, I started buying one cup a day (often two in the winter) at the gas station and stopped making it at home.

A Keurig with a reusable K-cup could fix that

I had a similar problem until I bought a 24 oz Thermos. It keeps my coffee hot all day, so I basically take 5-6 hours to drink it And it keeps me pretty even keel all day. It can keep my coffee hot for 18 hours.
