In the modern world, yes. Most modern mattresses can just be turned 180 degrees because of the "pillow top". Teacher Wife '82 bought one (from Sears!) years ago that lasted forever and could be flipped, turned, etc…..

The mattress mafia doesn't want us to flip our mattresses, how else do you think Mattress Mack will get money to bet bigly on sports?

We got these for each of our butlers for Christmas. I'll ask how they like them.

Factory just off Leopard St in Corpus. One of the few now that can be flipped. If you don't like the feel, you can take it to them and they will add/subtract filler to your liking. Nice folks to deal with.

Showroom on SPI. Bought a queen size today w/15 year warranty and 30 day "adjustment" like you said. Hope it's worth the price.

You wouldn't need to flip the mattress so much if the mattress was made of quality materials. Even the 3-4k mattresses out there are made of crap. It's all marketing and they build them so that the initial impression is positive.

Also, buying a mattress that is "right" for you takes a lot of trial and error.

I like high quality boutique mattresses that you can zip/unzip the cover to replace layers as needed (for comfort or for replacement). Even better is to just DIY your own mattress with layers of latex, memory foam, and/or springs to get the feel you want. Then when one of those layers fails because of wear a few years down the road you just unzip and replace it instead of replacing the whole mattress.

We have 3 Cantwell mattresses and they've been great.

You can't well sleep without a Cantwell mattress!
