That's just not true. While it hasn't been a huge success, calling it a disaster is wrong. It's the number one selling EV truck at just under 39k. Tesla sold over 600k vehicles last year. They're doing just finenai06 said:
He might be, but 400bn is still a long way to go. He's also made some big mistakes lately that will ultimately affect his bottom dollar.
Twitter is effectively a money pit for him and isn't in any better shape since he took over.
The cybertruck is a complete disaster and it's begun to affect the rest of the Tesla brand as well.

And one or two in China.
Lol huh, Tesla stock is up 192% in the past 9 months, its market cap is now $1.3 Trillion which is the 8th most valuable company in the world. Space X's valuation shot up to $350 billion in December. His xAI company is now valued at $50 billion, Im going to guess its worth a lot more in the next 2-3 years with the AI craze.nai06 said:

Regardless, the issues with the cybertruck dont seem to be negatively affecting Tesla's stock price, its up 192% in the past 9 months. Its out performed all of the other Magnificent 7 stocks. The valuations for Space X and xAI are sky rocketing. His net worth is determined by the valuations and share price for all of his companies, and all of his companies are doing really well other than Twitter.nai06 said:
Ask anyone with a Tesla how easy it is to get a service appointment right now.
Tesla originally had lots of issues with build quality when they first started selling cars. They were able to overcome that as time went on and they started to produce better quality cars. They Cybertruck has single handedly destroyed any progress they made on that front because they are so poorly designed and made.
A few more examples:
-The cybertruck is designed with the headlights aligned with the top of the front bumper which creates a small shelf. Because of the flat front of the truck and the placement of the headlights, snow will build up in front blocking the headlights while it is sitting or even driving. It's 100% a design flaw.
-The glass roof is prone to spontaneously cracking or shattering, likely due to how it was fitted and not given room for expansion.
-A lot of cybertruck owners have found themselves hitting things while backing up. Turns out the back up camera and guide (front ones too) are offset so that they don't actually show the edges of the truck
