It now too small……is this a big deal to get a normal jeweler to do it?

The association won't pay half if it gets messed up.

Price of gold will make it a little pricey to resize up. Maybe $100-$200.

You should get one free resize unless this has changed. Only cost was shipment. Mine was resized in 12. Call the association of former students because that's where I took my ring.

I just got mine resized at the former students association this summer. First resizing is free - just paid $10 or $15 for shipping. And if you want, they will just about restore it for you as well and repair blemishes and polish it up at no charge. I was really surprised. After 20+ years mine looks just about brand new.

There is only one answer. I've gone through two ring replacements, and one resizing.

Nothing else. Nowhere else. Honestly, it felt as though they gave me a brand new ring. I don't know what they do, but it's very very inexpensive and it is the only option. Trust me.

What if I want a resize only and a cleaning. I like the wear because I'm approaching old Ag in my 50s and by the time I'm 90 I want it smoothed over

They can only resize and clean it. When I had mine resized, there was an option to leave alone the wear and tear or to repair it as they could. Mine came back resized and clean but with the "damaged" spots as they were.

How long does it take to get it back. And is it actually your ring you get back or do they just make a new one?

I just got mine back. The *******s have been polished smooth on the bottom. Seems like I had some faint *******s when I sent it in.

6 weeks. Same one. They ship to Balfour (I think) in Austin.

They actually added back the ones that were smoothed out on mine.
