4 wheel drive showhauler like this one. There are only about 20 in existence, they build a couple a year. It is built on a commercial Freightliner M2 chassis and is good for a couple million miles. Tows 20 or 30k pounds. I would option it with a king bed over cab and the bunk over the sofa. I think they are 700 HP and around 1200 FtLbs of torque. That way it would sleep 4 comfy.

This thing is without a doubt the king of the road. Nothing compares to it in the RV world. Nothing competes with Showhauler quality and nothing competes with that chassis. Add in the ground clearance, storage, etc and it is just the best RV made. I thought a lot about buying the second one, the 2019, but didn't pull the trigger.

I even know what my first trip would be. I would drive to tierra del fuego, which is doable with one ferry ride.

How much?

I'd buy a politician. Just to see if I can and how easy it really is.

First one is bigger and new and I think they run around $750k. Second one is the one I liked and they were selling it for around $400k, if I remember correctly.

I like the smaller one more because if I am going for rugged and 4wd I don't want that extra 5 feet or so in length. I would only get the bedroom version if I were living in it.

I looked at these, the new storyteller GXV, the earthroamer, the rossmonster, etc and one day I will switch to an expedition style truck based rv or this showhauler. I have a off road van based rv and I love it, but it is too small for the wife, the kid, the dogs, and me. One day I will switch.

We got one for my mother in law two years ago and she loves it. She regularly sends us updates and will go on a rant when a squirrel shows up.

They also have an internal board on the app let let's you share your pics with other owners. It's really cool to see the variety out there. If you get one, make sure you get the solar battery charge. It really makes it easy when you don't have to charge the thing.

I was given a Birdfy for my birthday by my son and his wife and children. It is a pretty cool gadget. It identifies the birds as well.
