I was in my local grocery store last night and this made me do a double take



Do you read this as:

A 5 cents off per gallon.

B .05 cents of per gallon. As in 1/20th of 1 cent.

C Something else entirely.


I asked an employee about it (who was clearly not a teen but late 20s/early 30s). She told me, "Ohhhhh that actually means its 50 cents off per gallon."

I read it has half a cent per gallon discount. And that's not worth the extra cost of that spendy spice; you save more money overall (incl the half cent fuel discount) if you buy generic.

Maybe that's not what they meant but that's how it reads and they lose my business.

Yes. And they are as amazing as they look. The best strawberries I've ever had. Even the ones at 7 eleven were great. Also not really that expensive when compared to U.S. prices

in the case of $2.XYZ, Z is tenths of a cent. (like the 9 in your pic above) That is literally how our decimal system works. Cent is 1/100, or the second number past the decimal. The 9 in this case is the thousandth, or 9/1000, or 9/10 of 100.

0.0X never equals half.. not in gas, or anywhere.
