I almost started mining Bitcoin back when it was $15-20 a coin in value….then I decided to use my nerd resources at the time to do protein folding instead. I also almost bought some in cash but the exchanges were primitive back then and looked VERY sketchy to be giving them credit card/account info.

I also thought in the mid 90's apple would never come back from obscurity and Amazon would only ever be an online book store, and beer money was more important. Crap.

I bought like ten bitcoins at fifteen bucks apiece and have no idea where they are now.

You could pay some a million dollars to find them and still put $150,000 in your pocket.

I wonder how many times Woody flubbed his lines so they could do another take.

Digital photography... I grew up in the '60's and we used film. Later when the first digital cameras came out, I said, that won't catch on, I continued with film until the early 2000's. Now, everyone is a photographer, if it's good enough for Facebook, it's good enough for them.

Fajitas. In 1982 when they first came out we had a Mexican waiter who said they won't last. Just a fad. He was definitely wrong.

"Fajitas" didn't "come out" in 1982, That's just probably when they showed up at your Tex Mex restaurant in Houston.

I was sad when fajitas took off. I wanted them all to myself. We got ours at a meat market in Weslaco back in the 60's. I remember being a bit shocked to see their sign when they raised the price to $0.19 per pound. So, screw all you upstate effers who caused fajita inflation!

To be fair, that was probably the finest cut of meat in Weslaco.

Dancing with the Stars and more recently The Masked Singer. The first time I saw commercials for each I thought why would any TV excec green light such stupid concepts

Html in emails.

When I first started using email in the 80s, everything was ASCII text. No bold, underline, varying fonts, or emogees. It made you be a better communicator because the only way to get your point across by actually composing in complete sentences. The first time I saw an email with html text, I thought that person was lazy.

Bytecoins are worth 8 times as much.

The masked singer blows me away that it's still around

I don't mind dancing with the stars. I love watching perfect 10's in tight dresses dancing around.

Could the same be said for digital music? Seems like music played over blue tooth just doesn't hit like it used to back when I was playing CDs in my truck in college. Of course I had a "system" in that truck back then

So, your pickup line was: "Let's go into a dark room and see what develops."
