I recently purchased this from a TAMU auction. They had no information on it, only that it came out of a basement somewhere. I sent the serial number to chickering foundation, and found out it was made the week of Sept. 27th 1874! Records where burned at some point, and they had no idea it still existed until now. I am attempting to get some information on it's background, and if TAMU was the original buyer, or was it donated? Or if anyone may remember seeing it on campus at some point. Would be interesting to know it's history. Long shot I know....

I got 2 more places I remember seeing pianos.

1: Rudder Tower. Maybe 2nd floor. Mom always had season tickets to OPAS.

2: President's House.

I'm certain on MSC and wavering around 70% sure on the other 2.

100% on Rudder Tower and MSC.

Weren't there also pianos in the MSC basement that students could play on in practice runs

The basement of the MSC has me at a pause. There was a bunch of renovation done at one time. I remember visiting sometime after 2013 and not able to recognize it.

I remember using the bowling alleys.

HAHA. Use with caution. TAMU doesn't have a current auction, but check it regularly. They typically have at least one per month.

There were/are pianos in the MSC basement in the practise rooms and in the choral area.

That one looks similar to the one that was upstairs near the Bethancourt Rooms.

Practice rooms had uprights. You couldn't fit a grand in there.

Vocal Music Office rehearsal room had a grand or baby grand, I forget which, but it wasn't that one.

This one could have been in one of the galleries maybe.

I have one I am trying to get rid of. Tried selling it. Tried donating it. I am about to call a junk dealer to come pick it up. I just don't want to pay to get rid of it.
