I was worried urban youths had suddenly pivoted from sideways guns and droopy pants to Chemistry and Physics.

Or nerding out of over the Rebel scum using the ion cannon to disrupt the Star Destroyers above Hoth, letting the transports slip by the Imperial blockade.

Because when you say it out loud it's easier to say "ahh" than having to through all of the effort to slightly change your mouth position to get out the letter "s." Lazy pothead ghetto-ites are doing this with a lot of words. It's all one giant slurred mess.

The reason for a lot of language evolution among younger people lately is to get around censorship. It's the same reason people have been saying "S.A.'d" instead of sexually assaulted or raped; or "unalived" instead of killed / died. TikTok is especially sensitive to language and will pull videos down. It then becomes habit to use that language in regular conversation.
