#3.99 Whoppers every Wednesday in the app.

IB4 lolfats (I ran 80 miles last month).

IB4 Whataburger is better (used to be, but not now).

IB4 lolpoors (I'll stack a good Whopper up against any 5Guys, In-N-Out, or all the others)

Can't remember the last time I ate at Burger King. Fifteen years at least.

I have a Burger King Whopper once every decade. It's always the same.

The first bite is "wow! why have I been sleeping on this? So much taste!"

By the last bite, I want to vomit. What is that? Butter? Grease? Sugar? And the fries.... disgusting. It makes me want to stop eating hamburgers altogether.

I bought a Whopper last spring because my kid kept going on tirades about how bad BK was despite having never been to BK. I thought that the beef was stringy. Not a great burger. The fries were awesome though. I can easily wait another 15 years before my next visit.

If you think BK >> Whataburger, your Whataburger must be dismal. I went a couple of years ago to a Whataburger in KC, and, for fast food, it was outstanding.

I can get a $3 whopper jr any day (plus a free fry with the app)
I don't need a 1000 calorie lunch cause I'm not a whale. Grab a drink from work fridge and I have myself a $3 lunch.

Whataburger is trash. I'd take a Whopper any day over them.

I would rather not eat than eat at Burger King.

Think about it.

A few years ago I got a whopper on a whim. It was awful. Thinking of that makes me sad. I'm sad now.

If a whopper is hot, it's decent

That said, I believe it's the most calorie-dense burger of all fast food burgers. Proceed with caution

I would take Arby's over Burger King any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

I mean that's not saying much because I am a broken individual who enjoys Arby's. I even have an official Arbys Cowboy Hat and a set of Arby's DnD dice.

It took you a month to run to the Whataburger?!

Different burgers come standard with different things (mayo, sauces, cheese, etc) so hard to compare listed calorie count from menu.

Let's do apples to apples; Bun, meat, veggies & ketchup or mustard only; (based on online ordering and modifying, which updates calorie count)

$5.99 Big Mac 390 (2 x 1.6oz patties.. adjusts to approx 440 if 4oz)
$5.99 McD QP 420 (4oz)
$3.99 Dave Single 450 (4oz patty)
$4.99 SmashBurger 470
$5.80 In N Out double no cheese 490 (2x2oz patties)
$6.79* Whopper 513 (4oz)
$5.69 Sonic 580 (4.25oz adjusted to ~550 if 4oz)
$6.11* Whataburger 590 (4oz)

Appears Whataburger is the most calorie dense, almost 10% higher than 2nd place and 30-40% higher than lower ones... better check your beliefs.

Price is pretax at location nearest me in Denver area.
* = Cheese is extra if added. All other burgers comes with cheese and price is not reduced if removed. Cheese calories are not included for any burger.

Yes it's a slow day at work.

I had no idea wendy's signature burger is still only $4.

Wouldn't that preclude entering a BK?

Also, if when ordering a burger, you have to specify "no ketchup", you need to be ordering your burgers from someplace else.

Somewhere around 10 years ago one of my kids wanted to try Burger King. It tasted like natural gas and was absolutely awful. I don't understand how anyone can eat one of those burgers

Wendy's insistence that they put mayo on a burger like they're dadgummed Yankees always makes me sad

Ketchup is what identifies it as a Yankee burger.

Sometimes I get a hankerin for a burger with just meat and cheese. Plain and dry. If you have good beef and cheese and a quality bun, it works.

100%. My kids used to want burgers plain and dry when they were little. I'd often finish off the last bite or two. That was what first woke me up to how bad Whataburger actually is. I'd do the same at home and think, dang that's pretty damn good all by itself. Now I make them that way on purpose sometimes.

First, just ask for no mayo, it's not hard. Second, considering mayo is used more in southern cooking than anywhere else in the US, your Yankee comment makes no sense.

Same minus the tomatoes. I like tomatoes, just not on burgers or sammiches. And I'm going to add some bacon to that as well. If bacon is not offered as an add-on, that's another sign to seek elsewhere.

I thought it was the Canadians that like to put mayo on burgers. They're just Yankees that can't talk good.

I have no idea if Canadians put mayo on burgers, but I do know they put ketchup on everything. It's like their most popular chip flavor.

Whopper Junior all the way about once a year. Someone mentioned their fries. They are #3 behind McDonalds and Whataburger.
