Really dating myself here. Yup definitely an Old in these parts, buy I don't peruse any other boards so I thought I'd ask.
Anybody remember the jingles we sang as kids? They really don't do this nowadays, in fact my kids really didn't either. But back in the day we all sang jingles just goofing around with our friends. You saw this in the movie, "Stand any Me". Here's one I just saw and remembered:
Jingles were also sang jumping rope or playing yard games. My kids have no idea what, "Eenie Meanie Miny Moe" or "one potato, two potato" was all about in choosing side or teams.
Fire away, but back in the day this was an American past time…

- The 1970s cleaning product jingle: The phrase is a famous example of a sarcastic and humorous jingle for the Comet brand of scouring powder. The jingle is: "Comet - it makes your teeth turn green!; Comet - it tastes like gasoline!; Comet - it makes you vomit; So buy some Comet, and vomit, today!"
