Candy stash running low. Having to get rid of the Twix quickly so I'm not stuck with them

We didn't do the traditional candy route today, we did goldfish, several kinds of cookies, those little drinkable apple sauces, and a few other things. Seem to be a big hit.
I was glad that the trick-or-treat started early. I was inside before 8:15. My daughter and I sat at the end of the driveway and handed it out as people came by. We're usually not here so I enjoyed tonight a lot.

Tonight was a big success. Our final tally was 650 trick or treaters, the most we've ever had.
We went through:
576 assorted full size candy bars
100 blow pops
100 tootsie pops
90 airheads
48 push pops
155 fun size candy

Its so much fun. When we first moved onto the street almost no one decorated. We started going all out and the neighbors saw it as a competition. Now we get the city to shut down the street and people come from all over town. Its like Halloween in movies with kids running everywhere, no cars around, and neighbors sitting out in their driveways.
Its the best.

This is EXACTLY what I said in my head before I read your post.
Hung out at the bottom of the driveway with some of the Colonels so kids wouldn't have to climb my driveway. Great conversation, solved most of the world's problems. About 20 kids came by total, it was pretty cold.
Wife took son and 6 of his friends for their final (probably) trick or treat. His bag of candy is pretty staggering, we need to give him a pillowcase next year if he goes again.
My neighborhood has picked up a lot lately with younger families finally moving in.
There were already people out when I walked the dog around 6, and saw a few yard parties and home made haunted houses.
Don't know what the final count was, but people were coming by until the lights went off around 9:45.

I sleep on a recliner, too; have done for 15 - 20 years now (can't sleep flat for some reason). Only in the past several months have I figured out how to get a consistently comfortable night's sleep. Before, I would do okay for a while then had to change, incessantly. Mo' bettah now.
What did you change?
