It's been a tough last few days. A deer ran out and it my truck last Tuesday. Thankfully I'm ok, but it'll be in the shop for two weeks, and I'll be out a deductible. Thursday my credit card was flagged for a fraudulent transaction, so I'm having to redo everything that was on automatic bill pay and wait for a new one Our dog has been sick and on prednisone, which makes her pee a lot, and while we were gone for a few hours to get a loaner vehicle from my wife's family on Sunday she had accidents all over the house. My 4yo son started coughing yesterday and we were a little concerned because his breathing seemed labored today. He and my wife just finished up with the pediatrician, and he's going to the hospital because he's not improving quickly enough even with some pretty good meds. He's got an ear infection, inflamed airways, and his O2 is in the low 90's.

Our daughter also has a birthday party Saturday that we're supposed to be getting ready for. I'd hate to have to cancel it for her sake, and it's going to be stressful trying to get everything done now.

I could really use some prayers for our son's health and strength for the rest of our family. These last several days have just been a lot.

Is there a way we could possibly buy you and the family a dinner? Sick kids are no fun. My youngest was in Darnall for 4 days with rsv. Needless to say it was a lot of hospital food and trips to Burger King a couple blocks away.

He's finally on his way to the hospital. He and mom had to wait at the pediatrician's until a bed was ready and they could send an ambulance to pick him up. His 02 was at 94-95 with oxygen, 91 without, and his temperature was coming down from 100.4 to 100.1. RSV, flu, and covid all came back negative. The same thing happened with him a couple of years ago, and he was ok after a night in the hospital. I'm hoping this is more of the same. Our pediatrician thinks he may have asthma that's aggravated or triggered when he gets sick and his airway gets a little inflamed, which makes it worse.

He's tired, but in good spirits. He was being a sweet little man, and the nurses at the pediatrician's office were in love with him. He was excited about the ambulance ride and smiling on the gurney.

I really appreciate the offer, but I think we'll be ok. There are people who need it much more than us despite everything going on right now. There was a time in my life where this would all make me angry at the world, but now I can see how blessed we are to have family that we can rely on, a good job to pay the bills, and live in a country where he can get the care he needs.

Thanks y'all! All the thoughts and prayers mean a lot. He's getting an inhaler and will be on oxygen overnight. Hoping he'll actually go to sleep because he's wired from all the steroids today. I'm at home with our daughter, and mom is sticking it out with him tonight. Hopefully we'll have good news in the morning.

His numbers look better, but he still needs to make some improvement. His O2 was at 98 at points last night, but that was when he was on oxygen. When he comes off it he dips back down. He eyes sound better with less coughing and wheezing, so it's at least easier for him to breathe. Hopefully he gets a lot of rest and can make some good progress this morning.

We're doing much better! Off oxygen and his numbers look good. He's still got a cough and won't be back to normal for a bit, but he's much better and closer to his normal self. Hoping to be discharged this afternoon!
