I have my lab for PHIL 240 in that building, and everytime I enter through the doors that lead to the academic plaza, it smells like some alcohol cocktail or like my hometown doctor's office. I wonder if it's the cleaning supplies they use but I doubt it because they would us the same ones they always use at every building.

Maybe a building occupant is sensitive to the scents of the usual cleaners so they us an alternative product to clean that area of the building.

Probably just the swimming pool in the basement fermenting.

I think PHIL 240 is the intro to logic class so a lot of if/then stuff.

Wouldn't this be a question for your philosophy class to answer? If the YMCA building smells like alcohol, then...

I doubt it because the smell is specifically located in the underground entrance to the YMCA and those are classrooms that everyone uses. As well, the smell is only there whenever I enter. It's not there when I leave.

Very funny. I shared this with my TA and he laughed

Yeah. It sucks because it somehow counts as a math course but has nothing to do with numbers.

What my search came up with :

PHIL 240 at Texas A&M has a lab component because it is a logic and reasoning course where students learn by doing, through hands-on exercises like working with Venn diagrams, truth tables, and proofs. The labs are designed as a collaborative and low-stress environment to reinforce concepts presented in lectures.

A collaborative AND low-stress environment. I love Venn diagrams. The solutions also look like what we need to do to invest in a clean energy economy. This is beautiful.
