My whole family for three generations is from Perryton. There's a decent city park across from the court house, and the Sherrif Glen Howell looks the other way on all drinks not in their original containers. He's an alcoholic himself. Watch out for *******s from Stratford or Gruver who ride over and cause trouble on the weekends. There's very little to do in these small panhandle towns, so that's common. They think 410 shotguns are the same as paintball guns. You can drive 35 miles to Guymon, OK and check out the Happy Flower dispensary, but watch out for Highway Patrol on the way back, expecially Deputy Tom Watkins. He'll crack your skull over a one week past due registration sticker.

yeah the 5 residents of stratford causing trouble will really getcha.

Drive to dumas and go to the tispy turtle for a beer. 287 roadhouse is pretty good for dinner.

I don't know anything about perryton restaurants, but there is a steakhouse in town.

Chihuas has good mexican food, Margaritas has a great burger. The cattle exchange in Canadian would be the place I go for a steak.

Chihuas isn't bad. Broken horn is worth a stop. Buffet at smoke house. Tacos at the triangle.

Kent Kwik has higher octane regular gas than Toot n Totum.

I remember doing work out there and checking how far the drive home was. It was only like 15 minutes longer to go through Oklahoma City vs Amarillo. And then picking up a Kansas radio station while flipping through the dial.

We got over the incident with the chocolate fountain and made our peace. They admitted they were in the wrong, and I admitted I got carried away. But, I couldn't guarantee I wouldn't bring the midgets... little people back again. Mini Ponies crossed the line, though. I see that now. It was wrong of me to lie and claim they were my emotional support animals.

We have an annual pheasant hunt and for a several years we booked most of the La Siesta Motel in Stratford.

The room keys had fobs on them that said La Fiesta.

It wasn't unusual to open the closet door, in any given room, to find a fully loaded fly strip.

That is a great recommendation.

Unfortunately, it is too small to accommodate our group.

Btw,

We have been faithfully, enjoyed the ladies auxiliary, opening day lunch for decades.

A fine group of ladies for sure.
