Killed my first deer at a lease outside of Paint Rock! Would go to Lowake at least once per trip! Cool area and good arrowhead hunting.

I hunt there every year. Hope to retire there.
What a shame the restaurant there has gone so far down hill in the last ten years.
Has it? I go there once a year and haven't noticed anything. Pretty dang good CFS.

Texhoma, technically half of it is in Oklahoma. The town in the panhandle, not on the Red River.
Spent several weeks there for three summers cutting wheat.

Grew up in Acton, TX although that area is now named DeCordova.
Town so small it had a town triangle, not town square. In the triangle sat an Exxon named "The Dam" Bait and Grocery.
Smallest state park in TX is the Elizabeth Crockett grave site in the Acton Cemetery.

Really just part of Granbury
DeCordova was incorporated so a certain company could avoid being annexed by Granbury.

San Isidro - between McCook (another hole in the wall) and Rio Grande City. Hunted around there quite a bit.
And for S and Gs - drank a few beers in Valentine.

Username checks out.
I was there 86-92. Which company are you referring to? Haven't been back there in a very long time...

I grew up in Midland. That place has been gone for like 25-30 years. Either that or it just always looked closed and empty.

Roosevelt Just west of Junction and just off I-10. Pretty much just a feedstore/restaurant and small post office. Used to go in to pick up feed for lease and eat while we were there
