-Awake early. Guess I will get up in a few to start the day.
-Originally took today off but decided to work but will do it remotely.
-After today, I'm off until 1/5. Woohoo.
-Deliver some travel docs to local clients this evening.
-Maybe a little shopping for Christmas. Luckily I sent my 16 year old to do most of it so far. It's glorious.
-Hopefully book one more trip for clients this year - about to hit a milestone.

Make today a great one!

Is it super foggy or did something else happen?

Next cruise clients leave on 1/2 on Disney.

Luckily this year I only have 3 sets of clients traveling over Christmas. One is to Branson, so the biggest snafu would be their rental car not being ready/available on 12/25. Then clients to Europe - hoping that goes smoothly and then clients to Xcaret in Mexico.

- I made a list of 40 things to do while 40. It helped me to realize how full my life has been to this point and how much I've already experienced. I am very lucky.
- Today my goal is to put it into Canva and make it look pretty.
- Also, grocery store and wash my greasy ass hair.

Woke up at 7 a.m.

Loaded up the pickup truck and headed west out of Fort Smith.

Made a few stops to see some customers.

Eating lunch in McAlester, Oklahoma.

After lunch drive south towards Dallas.

Went and got my foot xray'd today. Got hit by a pitch (probably 50-52 mph) 2 weeks ago on the top right side of my left foot. It is still swollen and sore to the touch. I was more worried about it possibly being broken and heal incorrectly than I was with the discomfort.

The Dr I saw "apologized for her obnoxious hat", which just so happened to be the Volleyball National Championship hat. She traveled with the team and got home late last nigh. I thought that was really cool.

She doesn't think its broken, but did an ultrasound. She scheduled an MRI for a few weeks from now if I am still having issues.

She wanted to put me in a post op shoe. HARD PASS.

Took a vacation day today and am watching the Spud Bowl being played on that horrible blue carpet in Boise. I don't really have any interest in the game, and I'd just as soon be working truth be told. I kind of resent having to take my vacation by the end of the year or lose it because it's being wasted today.

Supposed to be in the upper 50s this afternoon, so I'll probably go sit out on my balcony later. Forecast to make a run at CoMo's record Christmas Day high temperature of 74F set in 1889. Haven't had a Christmas in shorts since I left Texas. Yuck. My birthday is three days after Christmas, and it's supposed to be more December-like by then.

I have oily hair when I'm in Dallas after a second or third day without washing it. My hair texture is dependent upon where I am in the country and the weather. Midwest winters and dry climates are my most favorite. I do use dry shampoo once or twice a week, yeah, and wash about once a week during the winter. More during the summer when I'm sweaty.

And I did bring my precious with me! I washed and did my hair today and it's so much different (worse) because of the humidity in the air.

Benny was laughing this morning that the "Missouri Millions" lottery payout is "only" $2.7 million. It has me thinking about buying a $2 ticket. I could use $2.7 million.

I've never purchased a lottery ticket of any kind in the 12 years I've lived in Missouri. Not sure of the rules (i.e. range of numbers, number of numbers, etc) but I can just have the machine make a random ticket for me.

I have a multimedia drive that's an external USB 3 SSD. I back it up to a drive that is essentially identical. Because I'd been running Windows, both drives are formatted to the NTFS file system. Linux supports NTFS, but I want to run something native to Linux. In this case xfs.

I've taken my backup drive, blasted the NTFS partition, created an xfs partition, and am now copying all of my files back to it. It's going to take a while.



Once this is done (i.e. tomorrow), I will blast my primary multimedia drive NTFS partition and repeat the copy process on a new xfs partition on that device.
