Not enough sleep

Orange cat caught a mouse at 12:30am. He proceeded to show it off to speckled cow Kitty. They got into a spat. The problem is orange cat doesn't kill mice. He captures them and plays with them. The mouse got away during the spat. All three of us looked for it for a good long time with no luck

Foggy morning in west Georgia/east Alabama.

A good starts with good coffee (which I am enjoying now).

Make it a good one in spite of what the rest of humankind is up to.

The Unwinter continues. 19F above average on this morning's low (42F) and 18F above average on the forecast high (57F). Winter is half over, and it's only snowed twice.

When I was a kid, we had an orange/white cat that was indoor/outdoor. She was raising a terrible racket one night at the back door. When we opened it, she had a dove in her mouth, which she proceeded to let loose in our den. We had 12" 12' arch ceilings in there, and the bird flew around for a couple of minutes before the cat caught it again. She was promptly thrown back out the same door (with bird in mouth).

My Christmas tree is still up and I refuse to take it down until we get cold weather. I'm sticking it to mother nature.

I made the Spinal Tap/Stonehenge mistake!!

I ran with fast women this morning. They averaged about a 7:00/mile pace for 5 miles while I did closer to 9:00 for 4.

Of course, I'm 63 and all these women (girls) are in their 30's and 40's.

I'm still not sure how I got drafted to baby sit these women running at 5 AM.

You're old and are therefore harmless to them, but male so therefore provide a veneer of protection from able-bodied predators.

• 2nd night of 3-4 hours of sleep. Not sure what is going on. Puppers wanted to go out at 4AM, not sure why.
• Busy morning/day
• Diet Coke and Jimmy Dean mini sausage muffins for bf.
• Wings n More Salad for lunch. First time I've eaten out this year (besides Froyo) and the "worst" meal I've had. And it was delicious.
• No time to meal prep tonight. Lots of travel work to do.
• Hopefully sleep tonight.

They have 2 locations. One on Waldron Road and one on HWY 271 South. I go to the one on HWY 271 South. Good food and a good selection.

Reminds me of a little story I heard on a recorded Stanley Brothers appearance of many years ago:

The Stanley Brothers had just finished a number in which Ralph Stanley, on banjo, had turned in a terrific performance to the immense satisfaction of the audience. I have the Gizeh in rubber and those are what I wear like to the beach and pool. My everyday ones that I wear almost all the time are Mayari.

I do wear the Gizeh around the house if I'm going to be cooking or on my feet a lot for the support.
